Definitely all about output, but also quality of output. I have churned out pages before and felt un-accomplished after doing so because I was just writing to hit a number.

Writing one good page is more difficult than writing five pages on a whim — for me. This isn’t the case for everyone. Some people work better churning out words and then filtering out the best ideas. I prefer thinking through ideas in my head then writing down the best.
